Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović looked great in the Octagon against the much younger Brendan Schaub, but it was Schaub’s night as he executed a perfectly timed counter punch as Cro Cop was setting up a kick in the third round. From the onset Schaub tried to fluster Cro Cop with his aggressiveness and take downs. In the second Cro Cop caught Schaub with a powerful elbow that caused blood to rush from Schaubs nose. It looked like Cro Cop was able to handle his younger opponent, he was even able to fire off a couple of his PRIDE-era left high kicks. But it was a left kick in the third round that Schaub timed and countered that caused the PRIDE legend to be knocked out a second time in a row. Is this the last time we will see the Croatian legend in the Octagon?
