Cain Velasquz beat Brock Lesnar to become the new UFC heavyweight champion, and be beat Lesnar in devastating fashion. Lesnar attempted to take down Velasquez early in the first round but was unable to keep Velasquez on the ground, Velasquez then used his superior striking to rock Lesnar who spun out of control and eventually succumbed to some vicious ground and pound from Lesnar.
Velasquez made history tonight as he is the first ever Mexican American heavyweight champion, and with a stellar 9-0 record. Velasquez has had impressive victories over MMA vets Cheick Kongo, Ben Rothwell and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Its safe to say Velasquez will be a force to be reckoned with in the UFC heavyweight division.
