When Frankie Edgar won the UFC Lightweight Championship from BJ Penn many said it was a fluke, but it looks like Frankie Edgar shut the critics as he dominated “The Prodigy” for most of the fight during their championship rematch at UFC 118 in Boston.
Edgar out punched Penn from the start of the fight and managed to take Penn down multiple times throughout the bout. Penn tried to rally with a few take downs of his own, but it was too little too late as Frankie Edgar went on to win the decision. Edgar’s superior speed and movement was simply too much for BJ Penn, and Penn seemed like he had nothing for Edgar throughout the entire match.
With The Prodigy’s downfall, it opens up the UFC lightweight division to other contenders. Who will be next for Edgar?
