Chael Sonnen backed up all his trash talking as he dominated Anderson Silva on the ground at UFC 117. He came into the fight swinging and then brought the middle weight champ to the ground throughout the fight where landed he blow after blow at will. For all five rounds Sonnen looked like he had the title within his grasp, but in the last minutes of the last round Silva pulled off a triangle causing Sonnen to tap.
After the fight many people brought up the idea of an immediate rematch between Silva and Sonnen, and UFC president Dana White didn’t rule out the possibility of a rematch at the post fight press conference. Seeing how close Chael Sonnen was to winning the UFC middle weight belt, it seems a rematch is in order.
