According to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s Twitter page it seems he may have already agreed to a fight with the Brazilian Karateka Lyoto Machida. Rampage Jackson had originally denied rumors he was fighting Machida with many people claiming he was ducking Machida. He called Machida “boring” and claimed he wanted to give his fans a good fight after his loss to Rashad Evans. Jackson said on his Twitter page:

“Almost ready to sign the bout agreement,” Jackson stated on his Twitter account. “I would tell ya’ll who I’m gonna get down with, but I can’t spell his name. Hahaha.”

The event is tentatively scheduled for November 20th and may be the UFC 123 fight card, a venue has yet to be announced. Both Jackson and Machida are coming off losses, Jackson to Evans and Machida to Shogun. Both men have lost to fighters who are also facing each other, could this match between Jackson and Machida be a stepping stone to a title run? This is can be an opportunity for both “Rampage” and “The Dragon” to work their way back up to the light heavy weight title. Both men posses the tools to beat almost anyone in the light heavy weight division and both men are hungry for a win, this should be a good match up come November.
